Andhra Pradesh is set to witness a transformative leap in its textile industry with the launch of three new textile parks under the Scheme for Integrated Textile Park (SITP). The ambitious initiative, backed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is expected to drive investment, generate employment, and boost textile exports, solidifying the state's position as a key player in India’s textile landscape.
The upcoming textile parks in Anantapuramu, Nellore, and Guntur will see a combined investment of over 3.10 billion. Each park is meticulously planned to provide world-class infrastructure, fostering innovation and efficiency in textile manufacturing. Additionally, a textile park in Visakhapatnam has already been successfully completed with an investment of 1.34 billion, setting a strong precedent for the upcoming developments.
Overseeing this large-scale initiative, the Ministry of Textiles has allocated 1.02 billion for Hindupur Vyapar Apparel Park in Anantapuramu, 1.03 billion for Tarakeswara Textile Park in Nellore, and 1.05 billion for Guntur Textile Park. These parks are designed to accommodate diverse textile enterprises, from traditional handloom clusters to modern apparel manufacturing units, offering a holistic approach to industry growth.
Further strengthening the state's industrial infrastructure, the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has allocated 490.66 million under the Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP) for the financial year 2024-25.
Complementing these efforts, the Government of India has also approved three major projects under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (NICDP), targeting Krishnapatnam, Kopparthy, and Orvakal Industrial Areas. With over 531.36 crore disbursed in the past five years through the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT), Andhra Pradesh is poised to become a thriving hub for textile and industrial excellence.
