Andhra Pradesh has launched a dynamic five-year textile policy (2024–2029) aimed at attracting 10,000 crore in investments and generating employment for two lakh people, with a strong focus on supporting women and marginalized communities.
The policy offers attractive incentives to both small and large investors across yarn production, processing, and integrated textile units. Key benefits include electricity subsidies, 50 percent support for infrastructure development (capped at 1 crore), and full reimbursement of stamp duty, transformer duty, and land conversion fees. An 8 percent interest subsidy on five-year term loans and 50 percent subsidy on power tariffs will ease financial burdens.
To promote local sales, the state will reimburse SGST on final products for up to five years. Innovation is encouraged through subsidies for water and energy audits and patenting support. Large, mega, and ultra-mega projects will receive monthly employment incentives and up to 75 percent reimbursement of ESI and EPF contributions.
Additional capital subsidies are extended to BC women, SC/ST communities, and differently-abled entrepreneurs, reinforcing the policy inclusive vision. With this initiative, Andhra Pradesh aims to position itself as a prime destination for textile investment and inclusive industrial growth.
